Kaden is 5!!

I can't believe our little Buddy is 5!! What?? Holy Cow time is sure flying by! So every year my kiddos have their birthday I interview them and use pretty much the same questions. I think it is interesting to see how things change over the years and what things always remain the same. So here it is...
Favorite Color: Blue
Favorite Restaurant: #1 Olive Garden #2 MacDonald
Favorite food: Pizza & Salad
Favorite T.V. Show: Octonauts
Best friend: Zack Vinsion
Favorite Toy: Handy Manny demolition set
I asked him one thing that he learned this year and his answer was that he learned to share! ;-)

Kaden is such an amazing little kid! He has such a soft heart and is very sensitive. I really actually like that he is because that means he is more sensitive to other people and their feelings as well. He loves to help out whenever he can and is a very good big brother. He has been learning to read and can read some short stories with a little help. He is counting by twos and is starting to count higher and higher each day. He loves to play with his new remote control truck and Skype with Grandma and Grandpa. He is lovable, silly, smart, handsome, and a lot of fun to be around! I wish I could remember the silly things he says but I am drawing a blank for now..... this is why I need to be better about blogging.

We threw him an early birthday party since daddy would be gone for his real birthday so we had it on the 5th instead. It was an Octonauts party; Which is his favorite t.v. show!

Kaden wearing his Captain Barnacles cap

This cake took me 9 and a half hours to make!

Thanks for decorating Daddy! :) you're the best

We played a fishing game with the kids! This was so much fun! We used a real fishing hook so we had to be extra careful. I got stabbed 5 times!... I don't have much experience with this stuff so I ended up being on the other side of the sheet attaching the prizes instead. The funniest ones were when they pulled a clean pair of Kaden's underwear and a Diaper! We all got a pretty good Chuckle

Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday dear Kaden Happy Birthday to you!

And of course the presents! I think the kids giving the gifts to him were more excited about it than he was :-) One of the kids ended up grabbing the gift and opening it because kaden wasnt doing it fast enough! So hillarious

Our busy life from September- November 2012

These past few months just seemed to fly by way too fast! The holidays hit and pretty soon so many things have happened that I just cant keep track of it all. We sure have been a busy bunch lately! Between my calling and Adam's, plus pre- deployment phase and Piano lessons we keep ourselves in a constant motion! I    love our busy lifestyle, BUT on the other hand it sure would be nice to have a date with my husband every once in a while! I am not going to vent, I usually save that for Adam's ears only (poor Guy) I love you! Thanks for putting up with me. I am sure thankful to have a faithful, hardworking, devoted, honest and supportive husband. I just couldn't ask for a better friend! So here are some fun things we have been doing over the past few months.

I discovered that a half an hour of a HUGE mess was worth it for some time to myself. All it is is flour, Who would have thought?

Kids are just happier when they can make messes and not get into trouble for it!

I made a new wreath it's Fall/Winter and I love it cause I don't have to make another one!

We went to the apple-dale orchards, SOOOO much Fun!!

This one is my favorite! It looks like one of those display pictures you would find in a new frame.

We each got to pick out a pumpkin

Little miss Kenidi had her 7th birthday party! We did a bake party and it turned out quite nice! They made Pizza and I taught them how to frost cakes

Joni and Kenidi
Best Friends!

Later that day we went to the ward Trunk or Treat

We won an award for the best family Costume

                                                                Kenidi got her ears pierced!

Thanksgiving day was a lot of fun! We had a few guys from Adams work come over and a newly married couple from the ward. The elders came over in the morning and helped me slather the Turkey with butter then they played a game of football. Later that night we played minute to win it games! It was seriously so Hilarious!

We put our Christmas tree up early this year, usually I wait till thanksgiving night but this year I put it up a few days before.

Keep three balloons off the ground for 1 minute, looks simple right. IT'S NOT!!

A tissue box full of jingle bells strapped to your waist, jump around to get all the bells out in 1 minute.

Summer days

Summer has come and gone and we are now starting to see fall leaves all around! I love this time of year, it is my most favorite season. The summer was a blast! So I have decided to compile some of the things we did over the summer.

We got a new swing set for free on craiglist! It kept my kiddos happy for hours. These crazy little monkeys have so much fun together!
Dress up happened on a regular basis, every little girl has to take time to dress up every now and then.

We went to the Library every week and did two summer reading programs and then to a little party to win some prizes. We love the Library!!!
Something I forgot to blog about a while ago was that the kids were in soccer. They finished before the summer started though. Here is Kaden receiving his certificate and trophy.
We love to climb trees! I climbed trees a lot when I was a kid. I sometimes see parents getting upset with their children for doing this and it just breaks my heart.
The kids both learned on the same day how to ride their bikes without training wheels! I was really impressed

We have a splash park in our community center, the water was as cold as ice cubes! It didn't seem to phase the kids though ;-)

We went to the rides on the river in Clayton NY. They had a rock wall, a bounce house, boat rides and tours of a house boat, a musician, and a magician. It was a lot of fun and the kids couldn't stop thanking me for taking them.

On labor day we decided to take the kids to the Wescott beach which is 30 min east from us. It was such a nice close to a wonderful Summer. It was such a beautiful evening, I just wish I would have brought my camera, it just doesn't take as clear of a picture with my phone.

Kenidi's 1st day of School

Our little Pumpkin is in First Grade! We woke up early this morning before daddy left for work so that he could give her a fathers blessing. I had a sister from the ward come and stay with kaden and Britynn so that I could take Kenidi to her first day of school. Kenidi's teacher is Ms. Baist and she is such a lovely lady. I have a very good feeling about her new teacher and her new class! Kenidi and I both could not wait for school to finally start. Here are a few pictures of Kenidi with her new teacher.
