We are still alive
It has been over two months since I posted on my blog. I have a lot of catching up to do. The last time I posted we were living in Arizona. There was some concern that I might not have been able to fly since I was so close to my due date, but I didn't waste any time booking the flights once Dr. Bullero finally gave me the okay to fly. The day before we left my sweet sister in Law(Andrea) and my sister Shanna decided to throw me a baby shower... well actually a diaper shower to be exact. It was so nice to get together with my old friends from high school :-) The next morning on the 16Th of April the kids and I flew as far east as you can go. We had a connecting flight in Atlanta Georgia and finally arrived in Newport News, Virginia around 10pm that night. We picked up our rental car and then we drove to the hotel that I had reserved, this is where we ended up staying for the next week. It was quite a challenge getting the kids adjusted to the 3 hour time change, but within a few weeks they were on track. We finally got to see Adam on Sunday April 18Th. The kids were so excited to see Daddy, they were a little shy at first...I think because it had been so long since they last saw him and also because of the fact that he looked so different without any hair. We could only see Adam on the weekends and we always had to stay in his company area, which meant that we had to stay in the car parked in the parking lot. We were still very happy that we got to see him. After four weeks of AIT he got what is called green pass - which is basically a pass that allows you to go on and off base on the weekends. We look forward to every weekend that we get to take daddy home with us. We moved into our apartment on the 23rd of April, We didn't have all of our belongings since all of our stuff was still in storage, so the kids and I camped out with the few things that we had packed in our suitcases. All of our belongings finally arrived on the 17Th of May. I didn't waste any time unpacking, I was only a week away from my due date and couldn't stomach the thought of unpacking after the baby was born. I really really wanted to have everything in order before we welcomed our new baby into the world. My plan however didn't work out... I ended up going into labor five days early. The contractions started on the 19th at 9pm. They were about 10 minutes apart and they stayed that way for about 13 hours. At this point Adam was still living on base and so I decided to call a sister from the ward to see if she could help. The relief society president ( Sis Napier) came over right away and sat with me while we counted the contractions. The contractions were staying the same so I decided to drive myself to the hospital to see what they could do. After almost 2 hours they decided to let me go since my labor was not progressing and I was still only dilated to a 1. They did however give me 10 mil of Ambien so that I could get some much needed rest. Sis morewitz and sis Napier took the kids over to Sis Diqisto's house to play while I got some rest. I woke up about two hours later with intense bearing down pains and at this point the contractions were almost every minute!! I called sis Morewitz to take me to the hospital but didnt realize that she lived 10 minutes away, I waited and waited and began to get scared thinking that I would deliver this baby on my own!!! She finally arrived and helped me get down the three flights of stairs from our apartment. I dont know what I would have done without her! We were at the Hospital within 6 minutes and they wheeled me right in. I kept yelling out the the doctors and nurses that I needed to push, but all they could say was no no not yet! I finally ended up delivering little Britynn on May 20th at 12:24 She was 8lbs 9oz and 21 inches, she had a ton of beautiful dark brown hair. I still cant believe that we made it to the hospital in time, I was very sad however because Adam didnt get to make it for the delivery, he showed up 2 minutes late. I shouldn't complain though, I have so much to be thankful for! The most important thing is that we had a happy and healthy baby and we were recovering just fine. I was able to go home the next day, I was very happy that they let me go because I was getting really lonely there at the hospital by myself.

A Visit From Grandpa Steimle
Friday morning Grandpa Steimle and his lovely new wife Jannett came for a visit. When I announced to the kids that Grandpa Steimle was coming to town they were both jumping for Joy!! They sat on the couch next to the front window and waited for almost an hour for them to finally arrive. It was such a nice surprise, the kids really loved Jannett and were calling her Grandma right away. We went to lunch and then to the kids favorite park. They spent the night in a Hotel and then came back Saturday morning to visit some more before they had to leave. The kids were so excited when they showed up with presents! They had bought an outfit for each of the kids and a few toys as well. I was so happy they came, I felt like I didn't really get a chance to get to know Jannett very much at the wedding so it was a good opportunity to develop a relationship with her. I wish they could have stayed longer, Kenidi was so upset when they had to leave. She was crying for almost 30 minutes after they left :(

Beauty and the Beast
Is my favorite Fairy Tale of all time!! I can remember as a child reading the book and dreaming of becoming like Bell. I read the book so much that I had it memorized and would recite it to anyone who would listen. So you can only imagine how excited I was to find out that Red Mountain High School was putting on the play. Kenidi and I went Friday night. She loved the play and laughed hysterically- especially when Gaston's side kick would come on. She was a little bit afraid of the Beast, but I explained to her that it all turns out good in the end. It started at 7pm and ended at 10pm, I didn't get Kenidi to bed until almost eleven but it was totally worth it. I wish we could go again, I couldn't believe how talented those High School Students were. It made me wish that I would would have taken a Drama class when I was in High School. Some of the pictures turned out a little fuzzy, I guess a fuzzy picture is better than no picture :-)

Chillen with the boys
Yesterday I was getting the kids ready for bed, when all of a sudden Kaden disappeared. I was calling for him, but there was no response. I went downstairs and found Kaden here on the couch with Grandpa and Uncle Shem watching the discovery channel.

Easter 2010
We had such a wonderful Easter this year! I hid 53 eggs, it was a lot of fun except for all the bending over. The kids were waiting with much anticipation for this day to come, they were so excited when they woke up that morning. The two of them ran down the stairs to peek at their Easter baskets I love the picture of them with their messy bed hair :-) Shem and Andrea came over for the egg hunt, and spent most of the day with us. The only thing that could have made our Easter better would have been to have Daddy with us of course :( After our Easter egg hunt the the kids had about 10 minutes of digging into their baskets, they were really wound up after that and ran around the yard chasing each other. They ended up deciding to dump all the fake Easter grass out of their baskets, Kenidi shoved some down Kaden's shirt. They were pretty hyper for the rest of the day, I don't know if it was from the sugar overload or if it was just the excitement in the air.
