Grandpa's birthday cake

Grandpa is 58!! His birthday was on the 25th but we didn't actually celebrate it until the 27th. I have been taking a Wilton cake decorating class at Michaels and was super excited to start using my new tools and tips. I decided to make Grandpa a carrot cake since he loves cakes that are full of nuts. I am so critical of the things I make and can pick apart every single flaw. If you look closely you can see that the cake was a little bit smashed on the back corner, I had a dumb blonde moment and decided to put my cake decorating kit away and lifted it up and over the cake and smashed right into it!! Luckily we also had strawberry pie. I can't wait to get better at decorating cakes, today we are supposed to learn how to make roses!

6 Year Anniversary

This will be the second year that Adam and I have spent our Anniversary apart! I am missing him so much, and think about him every minute of the day. He sent me this lovely arrangement of red roses today, he knows how much I love flowers. I am truly the luckiest women on earth!! He has always treated me the way a girl should be treated. I love so many things about him, and could go on forever about those things. I have been reminiscing about our beginnings and what we had to go through to get to where we are today. We have been through so much together, moving about 11 times now and having several jobs. We have made so many sacrifices that have ultimately brought us closer together. He has always been my rock and my protector. I can't forget how my Parents didn't like him in the beginning although they didn't like any guy I ever dated. I am so glad that we stuck through it all. The Taylor Swift song comes to mind, I think it is called white horse, or maybe something else? Anyways that song is so perfect for us!! Today Adam sent me some special love quotes on Skype here are just a few of my favorites. * "Love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness." * " Love doesn't make the world go round, love is what makes the ride worthwhile." * " You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly." * " True love begins when nothing is looked for in return." * " Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition." * " In the arithmetic of love, one plus one equals everything, and two minus one equals nothing." * " Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own." Thank you for always loving me Adam, you have given me all that I have ever dreamed of!! I dont deserve a man like you, I miss you Bunny

Spring is here!!

It smells so good outside!! I love the smell of citrus blossoms :) Our spring break has already come and gone and Kenidi is back at school, she was so excited to be back. She has been learing about Egypt and mummies, so last week she brought home this lovely little pyramid sprinkled with sand. After looking at if for a week I told her it had to go so we preserved the memory of it with a picture. She has been loving school, and her teachers say that she is doing great. She is reading much faster now and has made lots of new friends. One day she came home from school and she said that some kids in her class were saying that she and Joseph were in Love. Here is how the conversation went.

Kenidi: "Mom there are some kids in my class who have been saying that I am in love with Joseph."

Me: " Why would they be saying something like that?"

Kenidi: " I dont know, he is only my friend."

Me: " Have you ever kissed him, or held his hand before?"

Kenidi: " No way mom!! We dont do that kind of stuff we are only kids!"

Me: " Okay just wondering, so there is nothing that would lead them to believe that you like him right? "

Kenidi: " Well he is really Cute!!"

I had gathered enough information to know what the kids were talking about. :)

Picking oranges and grapefriut, what fun!

Britynn is 10 months and is so busy!! She has discovered how to pull herself into standing position. I love her little toothy grin, I can't believe she already has six teeth!!

Britynn is becoming a BIG girl!

Yesterday when I was feeding the kids lunch I had my back turned for just a minute, when I hear the sound of a cup sliding across the counter. I turned aroud to find my little Britters guzzling out of this glass cup!! She did it perfectly and held on tight the whole time. She loves water and gets so excited when we offer her a sip.

D-Backs Spring Training

The diamond backs are training for this upcoming season, this game was d-backs vs. White sox. Grandma got a few really good tickets in the Dougout for free!!! Kenidi and I didn't get to go since she had her gym/ballet class that night so it was just Kaden, Grandma, Uncle Mark, Shanna and Nixen. One of the players on the visiting team rolled a few balls over to them and they were each able to take home two balls, so now we have a fun little memory of it! I asked Kaden if he wanted to be a pro baseball player, he wasn't sure about that because he still has his heart set on being a Firefighter! He is too cute! Kenidi has been to one D-Backs game but she was only 2 so she doesn't remember it very well. We plan on going at least a few times this season even if we only get the nosebleeds it's all about the experience.
